"The signs are everywhere, citizen Noy! Kahit mag-deny ka pa! Mag-deny man ang Liberal Party! Kitang-kita namin ang pagkakaisa ng mga Dilawan sa pangunguna ni Mr. Antonio Trillanes at iba pang mga senador at kongresista, ng mga Pulahan, ng simbahang Katolika, ng mga malalaking negosyante na nababangga ng Pangulo, ng mainstream media, at iba pa!

Kasaysayan din ang kokontra sa pagde-deny mo, citizen Noy! Hindi ba pinabagsak ng alyansang Dilawan ang Pangulong Marcos?! Hindi ba kayo din ang nagpabagsak sa Pangulong Estrada?! Wala bang mabigat na dahilan upang pabagsakin ninyo ang Pangulong Duterte?! Hindi ba kayo nababangga ngayon ng Pangulong Duterte?! Hindi ba nakakulong na ngayon si de Lima?! Hindi ba sinampahan na ng mga kaso sina Trillanes, Hontiveros, mga DOTC officials mo dati, pati na ang bayaw mong si Eldon Cruz at ang dating Budget Secretary mo na si Abad ukol sa P8.7-B right-of-way scam sa General Santos City?! Hindi ba kakanta na si Janet Lim Napoles ukol sa PDAF scam?! At higit sa lahat ay hindi ba kinasuhan ka na bagaman hindi ang inaasahan naming mabigat na ikakaso sa iyo sa Ombudsman ukol sa SAF 44?! Papayag ba kayong makulong?! Papayag ka bang makulong?! Hindi, di ba?!

At ano iyang sinasabi mong laganap pa rin ang kahirapan sa panahon ngayon ng Pangulong Duterte?! Hindi ba kakapasa mo pa lang sa kaniya ng puwesto mo?! Hindi ba tatlong dekada kayong namayagpag sa kapangyarihan?! Ibig sabihin ay kayo ang naglugmok ng Pilipinas sa kahirapan! Anong paglabag sa karapatang pantao ang sinasabi mo diyan?! Nalimutan mo na ba ang ‘Mendiola Massacre’ sa panahon ng nanay mo?! Nalimutan mo na ba ang ‘Hacienda Luisita Massacre’?! Nalimutan mo na ba ang ‘Kidapawan Massacre’ bago ka umalis sa poder mo?! Tatlong dekada ng pamamayagpag sa kapangyarihan ng mga Dilawan ang tigmak ng dugo ang ating kasaysayan! Huwag kang magmamalinis diyan, citizen Noy! Sandra Cam's prepared message on the occasion of Manila Bay Press Forum's Induction Ceremonies

To all media practitioners, organization officers, members and inductees in this hall, good morning! It is my privilege to address today’s Induction Ceremonies of Manila Bay Press Forum. Many of you may not be aware that I am a graduate of AB Journalism and though I was not able to practice this noble profession, still I am one with you in the spirit of upholding the truth.

With the advent of modern technology comes the birth of the social media warriors. Undeniably, these new breed of independent media practitioners were a major factor in the rise to the presidency of Rodrigo Roa Duterte and they seem to overshadow the mainstream media people. Make no mistake about it! In the present age of Philippine society, most of our countrymen already turned their backs on the tri-media people. We see in different social media sites how our disgusted netizens bash and vilify some of our media practitioners. Can we blame them? No! Why? Because we live in a democratic society that guarantees freedom of speech! And this freedom of speech is also the constitutional right that is being used and abused by some media practitioners in order to “Attack and Collect, Defend and Collect (or in short AC-DC)”! This is how powerful the “fourth estate” is! Unscrupulous individuals and/or news corporations taking advantage of their prey! Well, not all, but rather some. Pardon for being straightforward but I am Sandra Cam! A whistleblower for truth and justice no matter whom I end up fighting!

The saying, “The pen is mightier than the sword” is indeed true! As in the days of Dr. Jose Rizal who incidentally fired the nationalistic feelings of Gat Andres Bonifacio and the Katipuneros, it is also true at present. There is an ongoing revisionism in the social media and it has been targeting also the millennials. The Dilawans and Pulahans who vilified the Marcoses in past history books are now having a dose of their own medicine. The social media is now being plagued by posts from the used to be so-called Silent Majority, but now noisily speaking up through Facebook, Twitter, Google+, independent news and blog websites, etc. and rewrites the distorted history – pardon but actually, this depends on which side are you with. Nevertheless, the challenge now is can you cope with the changing of the times or will you allow yourselves to be engulfed by the social media warriors? But it is never too late! It is either you become AGENTS OF CHANGE or ENEMIES OF CHANGE!
